National Register of Historic Places for Cheyenne, Wyoming

 

Cheyenne, Wyoming lies in Laramie County. The Union Pacific Railroad came through during 1867.

 

Cheyenne, Wyoming was named after the Cheyenne Indian nation.

 

The Wyoming Stock Growers Association helped make Cheyenne famous for its cattle drives.

 

Esther Hobart Morris, Alferd Packer and Tom Horn have been associated with the history of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

 

Cheyenne was also home to Fort D.A. Russell.

 

Today, Cheyenne celebrates Frontier Days, the Outlaw Saloon Summer Rodeo Series, Friday Night Rodeos, Superday, Horse Shows and the Laramie County Fair and Rodeo.
